--Hargray sponsors Music to Your Mouth Culinary Festival--

Bluffton, S.C., November 15-20, 2011 – Lowcountry residents have the unique opportunity to participate in Coastal Living’s Music to Your Mouth Culinary Festival, a celebration of Southern culinary culture that has been wildly popular since its inception in 2007. The festival is a culmination of a year-long food and wine event calendar, and it runs from Tuesday, November 15^th through Sunday, November 20^th and is being held at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton. Hargray sponsored this year’s Man Cave, a cozy den featuring football and traditional Lowcountry barbecue prepared by Hargray employee and Master BBQ Chef, Frankie Denmark (Hawg Wild BBQ).

Proceeds from the festival go to Second Helpings. Since 1992, Second Helpings has redistributed nearly 5 million pounds of surplus food that would otherwise be destined for restaurant and grocery store dumpsters across Beaufort, Jasper and Hampton Counties. That “rescued” food is then prepared into nutritious meals that are distributed to over 60 local social service organizations that feed the hungry. To date, Music to Your Mouth has contributed more than $20,000 to Second Helpings, helping to feed more than 500,000 local residents from Beaufort, Jasper and Hampton counties in southeastern South Carolina.
