For customers whose telephone service is part of a Hargray bundle, the county-mandated E911 and the federal American with Disabilities Act require that Telecommunications Relay surcharges be line items on your bill, effective July 1, 2009. Explanations of these charges appear on page 2 of your bill. Each county sets its E911 surcharge rate, which is used to provide ongoing maintenance of the emergency system. Each state sets its Telecommunications Relay surcharge.
